Psychology is an indispensable science for the health and success of the human race. It's not just a "soft science." Now that we have the ability to connect (or harm) millions at the touch of a button, the science of Psychology has become even more vital.

My Story

Hello! Nice to meet you. My name is Holly L. Harrison, founder of MoxiePsychology Legacy. I am also a psychology nerd and Harry Potter fanatic. My favorite reading and discussion topics are on Psychology and Business. I love to read in my black recliner with a cup of coffee and a cat on my lap (or three and maybe a dog too). My personality and leadership style come from my introverted nature and being a Highly Sensitive Person.

I loved my education and training to become a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist because the science of Psychology makes our world a better place to be, and not only that, a more peaceful and collaborative one. Some of the people I admire the most work in the Psychology field - their integrity, empathy, and drive to help others is incredible. I am fortunate to have met so many kind, wonderful, and strong people that work in the social sciences... and to have met so many great people to geek out on Psychology with! Yay!

Oh, and if you get the chance, thank a therapist, counselor, or a social worker. These professionals help the world be a better place and save lives. A big thank you to our Psychological Superheroes!

Vision statement

My vision is that people will start to see themselves as Relationship Legacy Leaders. Relationship Legacy Leaders are those who deeply care about growing personally, having healthy relationships in their own lives, and also about passing on healthy habits and skills to the next generation. To me, I view this work as essential to the survival, happiness, and success of all human beings. Learning the components of thriving and resilient relationships is essential for our marriages to be healthy and happy, is also essential to a happy/productive work environment, and it's the foundation kids need to have the best chance of achieving success in their own lives. This community of deeply caring people might also be in the midst of healing relationship wounds that have been passed down to them, and they are committed to creating a family legacy starting with their own generation. Through my relationship resources I hope to change the world forever by planting seeds for trees that we might never get the opportunity to sit under ourselves.

So... what's with the name moxiePsychology legacy?

It's about the importance of healthy relationships in our families, workplaces, communities, and the world.

It's about being brave with psychological and relationship growth, and shattering the stigma and shame around it.

It's about realizing there are simple steps we can all do in our own lives that can actually instigate massive changes in each of our corners of the world (and future generations).

It's about being the Seventh Generation brand of relationship resources - Help the current generation to communicate better and experience a thriving life, so that the next seven generations can hopefully do a better job than we have with our relationships, communication, and boundaries.

Because whether we know it or not, a relationship legacy has been passed down to us, and we are passing a relationship legacy on to our kids. We also pass on relationship legacies in our communities, places of worship, workplaces, and in politics.

It's about stepping outside the "therapy box" to make real changes to decrease the conflict in our world. Many people greatly benefit from counseling, but this is only one place where people are having discussions and learning about the importance of the science of Psychology. MoxiePsychology Legacy seeks to expand the benefits of psychological education to a variety of online and offline mediums.

It's about being a vital community resource and a community leader.

Why does moxiepsychology legacy want to help people with their relationships and communication?

Our world is suffering right now. In our families, workplaces, in politics, and in our communities we are painfully finding out that we are not as proficient at communicating and relating to each other with respect and love as we once thought.

The instant connection we now have through the internet and our immediate access to video and written accounts of news from all over the world has especially highlighted our struggles with harmony and connection. People who are unlike us in our religion, culture, political beliefs, and appearance are now instantly accessible through the internet and air travel... And we have not always made the best choices in our interactions with each other.

There are other factors at play too. People are choosing more and more to distance themselves from abusive and dysfunctional environments instead of believing they have to tolerate a lifetime of harassment and trauma. Our planet seems a lot smaller than it used to. This has been hard, but I believe that all of these struggles are actually a really positive thing. I think that this will be the spark that changes the direction of the entire course of history, and it is playing out right now. For example, we have seen it with the impact of the #MeToo movement.

I believe people are are looking for solutions and ideas for moving forward. This is why MoxiePsychology Legacy was founded; to be an invaluable relationship and communication resource.  I want to help create a more peaceful planet so we can all get to work solving the really important problems we face instead of just arguing about them and hurting each other! This is a turning point in history. What do we decide as a country? What do we decide as global citizens? There is a choice and there are solutions.

Let’s all work together to learn how to communicate more effectively and how to create healthy, thriving, and resilient relationships. Let's educate ourselves on relationship science. Let’s decide that Psychology is not a “soft science” but a vital science to our survival and the peace and happiness of future generations.

I am right there learning with you. You know, I make mistakes and learn and grow every day too. I learn things that I wish I knew in the past. It's the learning from our mistakes, taking responsibility for our actions, staying curious, and being open to growth that's important. In fact, it's the only way progress happens.

I mentioned earlier that the internet has been one place where we can see clear problems with our relationships and communication since it's all out there for anyone to see! In the long run, internet and technology will actually be what helps us to move forward and make massive changes. I am incredibly grateful that technology is so advanced that I can connect with you, and people from all over the world.

If we all make the choice to learn about healthy relationships, healthy communication, how to recognize abuse, and how to establish healthy boundaries, and we take this knowledge with us to all of our environments (family, work, politics, etc.), imagine the difference this would make! MoxiePsychology will be there to provide information, ideas, inspiration, and support. I am looking forward to taking this journey with you and seeing what changes are made in the world.
